In May 1942, four Nisei (Japanese American) college students traveled from California to the Union Depot Train Station in Grinnell, Iowa.

Amidst discrimination and displacement from WWII, these students chose to continue their education at Grinnell College.

With little known of their lives at Grinnell, this project seeks to document their resilience and experiences during this period of American history.
