A total of 15 Nisei students studied at Grinnell College from 1942-1948, yet only eight graduated from Grinnell due to a range of financial and personal reasons. These experiences remain relevant to our understanding of the culture of Grinnell College and the student experiences of minoritized students amidst this period of national and global unrest.
